·         Successfully managed a large scale project, implementing the new MASS Health Premium Billing System (MHPB), for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, in response to healthcare reform laws.

·         Collaboratively worked with EOHHS and Connector management and staff in defining HIPAA compliant platforms.

·         Solution spanned multiple initiatives including an Oracle Financials 12.0 implementation, a web based payment system, an IVR phone payment system and a lock box payment mechanism.

IT Project Manager Financial Services - Consultant

·         Successfully managed and implemented a large scale data quality/reconciliation project to satisfy State Street’s auditors, and assist the business community. Reconciliations spanned many of State Street's financial applications including: Oracle General Ledger,  Oracle Financial Data Warehouse, Oracle OFA and OFSA Applications, and Hyperion Essbase Cubes.

·         Managed all aspects of the technical team, both onshore and offshore, with six direct reports.

·         Designed and managed Oracle Database/Application Server migration from 9i to 10g.

·         Successfully dealt with SOX mandates and protocols, change control and risk/issue mitigation.

·         Performed high level application design, creating business process flows and architecture documents.

Senior Data Warehouse Architect CRM

·         Designed and implemented an end to end Oracle CRM marketing solution for MBNA Bank, working closely with senior MBNA Management.

·         Utilized ERWIN for all database modeling in support of design of the data warehouse, data mart’s and ODS schema's. Database would support many terabytes of data (millions of prospects), used for MBNA Marketing Campaigns. Campaigns would run against the data marts utilizing tools such as Ephiphany and Cognos.

·         Due to the complexity and size of the data feeds, specialized design had to be done in order to feed data through the Trillium System efficiently. Trillium was used for consumer data cleansing and matching across multiple data sources.

·         Participated in Trillium and Ab-Initio classes in order to understand the complex business processes around data cleansing and matching.

·         Mentored analysts, DBA’s and developers.

·         Permanent role ended with a large corporate layoff.

 

Volpe National Transportation Department/CSC, Cambridge, Ma, Jan 2002 to Mar 2005

Senior Architect Government

·         Using an SOA approach, collaboratively developed a solution for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to satisfy rules and requirements specified in the TREAD ACT. Solution was an Oracle, JAVA and XML- based Early Warning System designed to report potential manufacturer safety defects to Congress.

·         Received award from NHTSA for contribution in safety solution design.

·         Redesigned the Oracle reporting system for Volpe National Transportation Department.

·         Designed upgrade effort to Oracle Database 10g.

·         Designed Oracle Discoverer web-based reporting system and Business Objects Dashboard.

·         Received award for successfully migrating Fidelity Investments’ Enterprise Purchasing System from Microsoft SQL Server to a high-performance, scalable, Oracle platform.

·         Mastered the complex structure of a large-scale system that included a SQL Server Database at the back end, a VB Application on the front end, and EDI Mapping Standards as one of the requisitioning methods.

·         Managed Fidelity's legacy requisitioning system front-end (Visual Basic) conversion to Oracle Financials.

·         Managed back-end migration from SQL Server to Oracle Database/Application Server, implementing Oracle Purchasing, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Manufacturing Modules.

·         Involved in PL/SQL Package architecture, complex tuning of PL/SQL production scripts, PL/SQL Reports and Oracle validation sets to improve production performance.

·         Designed a scheduling and export system which continually transferred SQL Data to the Oracle Database. Legacy and new Oracle Systems had to function redundantly for many months after the conversion.
