Senior Technical Analyst, 2002 - 2009

§ Part of a four person team responsible for implementing the changes required by a company wide mandate that all data be migrated from VSAM format to DB2 tables which removed a file size restriction imposed by the VSAM storage technique. This project resulted in improved application performance.

§ Member of the development team that implemented new batch processes that utilized JAVA object modules rather than COBOL programs reducing batch processing time and allowing the batch and online applications to use the same modules. By using the same object modules, redundant code was reduced or eliminated.

§ In order to reduce off site storage costs resulting from excessive tape usage and reduce batch processing time, I developed and implemented code and batch job changes to the processes that archive (backup) and retrieve (restore) credit data to use DB2 tables instead of magnetic tape reducing processing time by 40 percent overall.

§ In order to minimize errors when moving code to the test environment, I streamlined and documented the process that migrates application code from the development environment to the Quality Assurance environment prior to testing. This minimized migration errors by 30 percent.

§ While working with the job scheduling team; developed and implemented a new procedure that allowed the mainframe scheduling product CA-JOBTRAC to link to the middleware scheduling product CA-AUTOSYS in order to run jobs on the LINUX platform. This automated process ensured that batch jobs were completed within the nightly processing window.

§ As part of a cross-departmental development team; designed, coded, tested, and implemented code that allowed the Consumer Relations division to utilize the new Inquiry Analysis Credit Data product. This product allows the consumer to see indicative information that is used by credit grantors. The code changes were implemented 2 weeks before the scheduled product rollout.

§ Member of the cross-departmental team that successfully implemented the new Trans Union Adjustable Rate Mortgage product. This product allowed consumers to see the ARM information along with the lender data on the credit report. This project was successfully completed on time.

Technical Analyst, 1996 - 2002

§ As part of the normal application enhancement process, I coded, tested, and implemented changes to application code based on time sensitive requirements received from various federal and state agencies. The changes were implemented on or before deadlines stipulated in the requirements.

§ During the Quality Assurance testing phase of the project life cycle, I provided support so that defects were analyzed and corrected a quickly as possible in order to meet the testing deadlines.

§ Member of the four person support team charged with providing 24 hour support for the online application and ensuring that the nightly batch jobs were completed properly so that end user reports were available per service level agreements.

§ I worked with outside vendors to ensure that data transmitted to them for processing met with their requirements and changed the application code as necessary to ensure compliance. This ensured that transmitted data was sent per service level agreements with the vendor.

§ As a member of the support team, I ensured that any program or JCL changes adhered to the corporate standards prior to implementation into the production environment. This reduced rejected change requests.
