Performance Engineer, January 2006 – October 2007 · Provide evaluation and recommendation regarding performance of hardware systems based on the analysis of performance data and business volume forecasts using various capacity planning/modeling software tools used by the team; · Apply modeling techniques to predict system performance: environment assessment, data collection, workload identification, regression analysis and other statistical tools, scenario development and execution, prediction of performance, and reporting. · Coordinate and communicate with project technical teams of the various lines of business rolling out a new system application or configuration to ensure that capacity issues are addressed and proper testing is done to measure load and capacity; · Participate in technical discussions with other internal and external groups regarding best practice implementation of software tools, trends in the industry, and other issues in the area of capacity planning and modeling to enhance knowledge base; · Design, build, execute, and report system level capacity modeling projects (i.e. some 15 models in the last 12 months) requested by line of business partners. |
