Consultant / Consulting Manager

Provide 24/7 support for all applications involved in.

Design, code, implement, and support for new WebSphere applications accessing legacy systems data on mainframe DB2 platform.  Full life cycle implementing SOA process into legacy processing.

Experience with setting up and administrating small network on NT and XP platforms.

Responsible for the development of J2EE application to make communication between web application and mainframe possible.  Developed JAVA process using IMS Connect under J2EE.  This process was then the basis for many other applications to interface with the mainframe.  Analyzed mainframe code and presentation layer to determine best approach for implementation into a browser environment.  Coded, tested, and supported programs with API wrapping applied.

Leadership role in successful merger of two major companies and the consolidation of the computer systems.

Design, code, implement, and support for legacy systems using Natural for DB2 under IMS.  Provide technical guidance for other teams in support of other systems, as well as provide support and code for third party software packages to access DB2 data, support and develop JCL for batch processing.  Provide performance support for Natural applications.

Analyze and design files to be normalized from the DB2 legacy system to the Data Warehouse.  Implement the file design and indexing to assure proper dispersment across the system.  Create ETL process from DB2 to Data Warehouse system.  Write MultiLoad/FastLoad data into the Data Warehouse.  Analyze current processes with the Data Warehouse for performance enhancements.

Responsible for creating ETL process to extract DB2 data, FTP file to PC’s and servers, then load into ACCESS database.  Created ACCESS database with code to support refreshing data, printing, faxing, and prompting for search criteria.  Created forms and reports for presentation.

Analyze and code changes to programs, adding fields and updating file accesses.  Implementing changes in NATURAL code under IMS using DB2 and Adabas.  Design, analysis, creating new code was also done.  Design and implement file design and programs to maintain and illustrate Data Base Design and usage in an Enterprise Model of all files and Databases.  Used Cobol II, and DB2 to implement system on the Data Warehouse.  Assist Database Administration Staff on special project to initially build and load the Data Warehouse.  Design and Analysis of Databases, and write programs and use utilities to initially populate the Databases.

Cross team knowledge gained of existing systems over the years.  Experience working with various teams and also with external customers, including U.S. Customs, ORIES, and Coal companies, Accounting Department.
